Sinopsis Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban adalah petualangan pada tahun ketiga Harry Potter di Sekolah Sihir Hogwarts. Semua aktor dari dua film sebelumnya kembali berperan di film ini, kecuali peran Dumbledore yang diberikan kepada Michael Gambon untuk menggantikan Richard Harris yang telah meninggal dunia. Disutradari oleh Alfonso Cuarón, film ini lebih gelap dibandingkan 2 film Harry Potter sebelumnya.

After angry with Aunt Marge and inadvertently causes him to magically inflate, Harry Potter escape from the Dursleys. Harry took the Knight Bus to The Leaky Cauldron, where he met Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic. Fudge tells Harry that Aunt Marge has been deflated and that he would not be punished. Ministry of Magic is only concerned about the safety of Harry since fleeing mass murderer Sirius Black from Azkaban prison magic. Black is a good friend of the family and carers Harry Potter, but betrayed the family to the evil Lord Voldemort. Voldemort killed Harry's parents, but, when he tried to kill Harry, mysteriously disappeared. After that, Black murdered their friend Peter Pettigrew together with 12 observers Muggle.
Harry and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and find security has been tightened since the Black escaped. The reason is now guarded by Dementors, dark, evil creatures that drain the happiness of those nearest and prison guards of Azkaban. They also cause fainting Harry. Remus Lupin, the new teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts told Harry he was more susceptible to the dementors because she had seen a genuine horror in her past. Lupin agrees to teach Harry the Patronus Charm, a shield against the dementors.
Harry distressed to learn he would not be allowed to visit Hogsmeade, the local villagers most students are allowed to visit on weekends. He was also angry with Draco Malfoy to destroy the first lesson Hagrid as Care of Magical Creatures teacher. Malfoy deliberately let himself be attacked by Buckbeak, Hagrid's pet Hippogriff, Buckbeak, and his father to ensure that the condemned will be executed at the end of the school year. Throughout the year, Hermione use a Time-Turner to travel in time and attend classes held at the same time. Black managed to get into Hogwarts twice, but could not reach Harry. Fred and George Weasley shows a secret passage to Hogsmeade and gave him the Marauder's Map to Harry.
During a visit to the village of Hogsmeade, Harry almost caught when Ron found that Scabbers, Ron's rat, has disappeared. Ron believes he has been eaten by Crookshanks, Hermione's cat, which caused a dispute between him and Hermione. Hermione then find Scabbers in Hagrid's hut when the three of them visited him before the execution of Buckbeak. On their way back from the cottage, Ron suddenly attacked by a big black dog and dragged into the tunnel under the magic tree, the Whomping Willow.
Harry and Hermione followed them and found himself in one year, rose above the hut known as the Shrieking Shack. They also found that the dog is Sirius Black's animagus. Harry tried to attack the Black when Lupin arrives. Hermione confronts Lupin about the habits he had observed during a class with him and admitted into a werewolf Lupin. Lupin explains that he, Black, Pettigrew and James Potter, Harry's father, was a good friend and called themselves the "Marauders". To make the transformation more fun Lupin, his friends all become Animagi, humans who can turn into animals. The Marauders remained friends after growing up, and when they are pursuing against Voldemort Potter, Black became their Secret-Keeper. However, Black was later revealed that he secretly switch tasks by Pettigrew to serve as bait. Black realized Pettigrew was a traitor and, rather than be killed by Black, Pettigrew became Scabbers.
Lupin and Sirius seek to express themselves Pettigrew, and Pettigrew change of Scabbers and go back to human form. He admitted that he had betrayed Harry's parents, but Harry stops Black and Lupin attack. Instead, Harry persuades them to take Pettigrew returned to Hogwarts castle to clear the name of Sirius. However, when they and their return to the castle, full moon appears and transforms into a werewolf Lupin. Pettigrew escaped while the dementors come and attack Harry and Sirius. They survived in the last minute by Patronus which Harry believes it is carried by her father.
Harry woke up in the castle and learned that Black had been arrested. To save him, Harry and Hermione use a Time-Turner (Turner Time) for the trip back to the past and prevent his arrest. Harry and Hermione save Buckbeak and re-look at the scene the night, until they saw the Dementors attack Harry and Sirius. Harry is determined to see who is sending a Patronus, only to realize that it was himself. Harry save Sirius and Buckbeak escape. Lupin, who is known as a werewolf, resigned. Harry worried that Pettigrew could help to re-Voldemort, but Dumbledore says Harry should probably be grateful that he has helped save lives Pettigrew.
